Play ISO on iPhone

Trying to open an ISO on iPhone

“I’ve download an ISO file. It gives me the option to open it with OneDrive, Av player, Documents and TDownloader however none of them work. I read that the file can be opened with vlc but the “open in” isn’t giving vlc as an option. I’ve trie importing them to each app then seeing if I can open them with vlc but no luck. Is there any app that will open and play an ISO or how do I add vlc as an option? I only have an iPhone, no computer…”

What is ISO file and why fail to play ISO on iPhone?

ISO is a CD or DVD image, also commonly referred as disk image. It is actually an archive file which is used to backup CDs, DVDs. You can mount it into virtual drive using various ISO mounting tools and also burn it. But what if you have backed up your DVD movie into an ISO image and want to play it on iPhone.

Some people try to open ISO files with VLC player for iOS, however, VLC can only play ISO files as long as the DVD structure is intact (it also means that the ISO file must have the exact same folders that are in your DVD such as Video_TS folder).
